Albert & Sandy’s Wedding, Part 1

Albert's sister, Tina (in the blue apron) hard at work, making final preparations before the wedding ceremony. A backyard wedding? Somebody must have watched "Father of The Bride" or "Meet The Parents" toooooo many times! It was a beautiful setting! Here comes the bride! They say that the groom is merely an accessory, who are they?!?
Auntie and Uncle Chen, parents of the groom Reading the vows Don't the *bridge* (err.. I meant ...bride) and groom look happy? Innocently Happy! If only they knew I was taking pictures from afar with my new zoom lens!
Albert + Sandy, sealing the deal with a kiss! Tina might have said: "I feel like reverse Cinderella. I'm the older sister and yet I have to do chores and serve tea! Wicked little brother owes me big time!" The witnesses.

Honoring the brides' parents Albert must be thinking: "What is that thing mom has in her hands, is it something incriminating?" Lucikly, it's a photo album full of Albert's childhood pics Auntie Chen relinquishing the "family heirloom" to the new family member!
Let's hug it out! Albert: "Alrighty... all the incriminating evidence is still under my indirect control! More respect paid to the parents She's an air hostess, he's a pilot.. literally a match made in heaven.... Mr. and Mrs. Chen is ready for you
A happy moment! Sandy: "Are you ok, Albert?" Albert: "It's ok... something got into my eye.. it's called a tear.. I'm all choked up!" The pair of smiles to end all smiles.... until... (continued in next pic)
(continued from previous pic) ... The pair of smiles to end all smiles... deja vu? A chantreuse (singer), from New Orleans, serenading the happy couple with a Taiwanese song honoring their parents. Why does the father of the bride look so sad? Answer.... (continued in next pic)
(continued from previous pic)... because this guy is taking my daughter away! LOL The singing continues Everybody joined in the singing, and clapping. Some tears were flowing in the crowd too!
Someone once said, that a woman is most beautiful on her wedding day. Truer words have not been uttered... Meet the Parents Meet the Parents, part II. (But they're not the Fockers)
A Chen family pic.. they asked.. Where's Tina? Oh... she's doing her chores as she should be! Tina even recruited a couple of good friends to help cook up a feast! Jimmy and Andy are more than up to the task. It's not like it's Dinner Impossible... sigh ... I watch too much Food Network. We know who's serious... Andy is concentrating on his cooking while Jimmy takes time out to pose...
Andy is still concentrating... Jimmy is stealing some good eats.. I don't blame him.. I was doing it too! But not using the thongs! Andy is great at BBQ. Here he's cooking riblets... I personally love his steaks... Ben Chen... stealing a bite too!
Mmmm... mmm... goodness... Chinese BBQ Wings! Auntie Chen loves Frogs.. anything with frogs.. here's the walkway into the backyard! The wedding favors were contained in a cutsey package!
A shot of the food.. there was a lot more that I didn't get to shoot.. they were gone like thaT! This was better than my Thanksgiving feast... No party is complete without drinks! Everbody digging in.
Old man weather came through for us, and didn't rain... beautiful reception. I wonder what they were all looking at... was my hair on fire? Somebody has gone crazy... I think Cinderella shed her shackles (the apron) and is transformed to .... a princess? YOU GO GIRL!
The bridge and groom with the meal / party helpers! Sister.... meet sister-in-law. Brother... meet brother in law. I needed to get in a picture too right? Otherwise, how would you know that I was there?
Albert: "Sorry ladies, I'm off the market unfortunately.... but I heard there's a dashing, handsome camera man around." Tina: "I think we should get up and dance" Unknown: "Not like that you ain't!" The bride changes into her reception gown. I felt bad because she must have been real tired from the time-shift from Taiwan to Canada.
It was also the 1st year wedding anniversay of Tina and Jason. Don't try to tell me it wasn't planned! Why is this guy cheering so heartily with his wine glass? Answer.... (continued in next pic) (continued from previous pic)... I think he has glass envy!

Description: Tina Chen is a great friend of mine since my UW years. (Viva les couch-potato buddies!) Her brother Albert and sister-in-law Sandy holds a warm, cozy, wedding ceremony in their backyard at the Chen Residence in North York. Family friends and relative abound came to celebrate. I decided to break out my new EF 55-200mm zoom lens!
