Looking Through Armani’s Eyes
Just an update on how I pampered myself for my birthday. I pretty much went on a shopping spree! Here’s what I bought:
- 2 pants (navy blue and green)
- 1 white shirt
- 1 brown shoe
- 1 emporio armani glasses (it’s actually black frames, but this is the only picture I could find)
In fact, I do like shopping. Most guys may not say that, but it’s not a problem for me. I love to shop. Spending money is not a problem with me. I don’t want to be a miser. I once heard that “the problem with being a cheap, rich person, is that nobody likes you because you are cheap”. Here’s my philosophy. Pay the right price for the right thing. If you need it, and it’s the best thing that you want to get, then go ahead and get it. Indulge yourself; you can’t take all that money away with you when you go. Might as well be happy while you’re alive.
Why is Armani necessary for glasses? The craftsmanship is great and durable. I’ve had it with glasses that fall apart on me. And since it’s a brand name, maybe I’ll treat the glasses with more respect. I’m definitely partly to blame for the use and abuse of my previous glasses.
Much thanks and appreciation goes out to Amy Hong (if you ever see this!). Amy hooked me up with a gift certificate for LensCrafters for 50% off prescription glasses. I got an eye exam and find out I improved my short-sightedness but gain a very slight astigmatism. Nothing I could do apparently. The people at LensCrafters in Markville Mall are EXCELLENT. They provided me with great service. They were patient and indulging, and engaged me with many discussions about which glasses were best, and how to care for them. I don’t ever remember being treated like that by any other eyeglass shop. So I do hereby whole heartedly recommend the LensCrafters at Markville Mall. Be sure to ask for Jerry!
