I came across a new site today: Woot.com. The business concept is very interesting. Woot.com is a self-proclaimed “annoying” store that only advertises ONE product per day. By only selling one product a day, they are able to generate lots of interest and stock their inventory in an innovative way. This may (focus on MAY) lead to significant savings.

It’s definitely annoying because you have to check everyday to see if you can find something you like. This leads to impulse buying. But I appreciate such an innovative approach from a marketing / business perspective. I would love to advertise for it but it does not seem like the company wants to make it easy for people to join up as advertising affiliates.

Besides, I’d like to evaluate for a bit. If I believe in Woot.com has to offer, heck I may even advertise it on this site for free! My other complaint is – When will they go international? I live in Canada and I cannot take advantage of it. Surely it isn’t that hard to start an international prescense. Canada is just a hop, skip and jump away.

Go ahead and take a look at it. I do recommend checking Woot.com out from time to time. You may find something you like, but with the lack of customer support after the sale, it’s only safe to say BUYER BEWARE!
